Last fall many people I trust were recommending Cat Sebastian’s The Soldier’s Scoundrel. I had no idea I’d want to read something set in the Regency period since I’m usually a contemporary guy. But I added it to my TBR and I LOVED it. Cat’s latest book, The Ruin of a Rake, came out last week and she’s on Jeff & Will’s Big Gay Fiction Podcast this week talking about it. The part of the interview I enjoy the most is when she talks about how she got started with these books. It’s a great story going from not having written to getting an agent and getting a contract. Inspirational stuff to be sure!

Also this week, I review the cast recording of Come from Away as well as books by Ariel Tachna and V.L. Locey.
