I’m so honored as 2016 starts to announce that Hat Trick 3: Penalty Shot (it’s listed in the polls as Penalty Shot) was nominated in two categories in the 2015 Goodreads M/M Romance Members Choice Awards. It’s particularly thrilling since this is Simon & Alex’s swan song and I’m really thrilled with the categories the book was nominated for.

Best Athletes/Coaches: Hockey has always been a star of these book and has the series went on the guys not only continued to play hockey, they also began coaching. Both of those elements came together in HT3 so I’m glad they’ve got a shot at this prize. It’s tough competition though, in particular Him by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy, which I just loved! Best Coming of Age: Simon and Alex certainly did come of age through the series and I’m glad the HT3 story resonated enough to get it nominated. I’m proud of the story that the final book told and it’s amazing to see this book along side some of my favorites from last year, including Him and Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Click here to vote on this category.

Congrats to all who were nominated in all the categories.
