Awards news kicks off this week’s episode with a look at LGBT finalists for the 2017 Daphne Du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense and the 2017 RITA Awards, both sponsored by RWA.

Will talks about new merchandise supporting the children’s book Promised Land, including a coloring book. The guys also announce that they’ll be attending screenings at OutFest for Jay Bell’s Something Like Summer and the premiere of Eastsiders Season 3.

Will reviews Stage Two by Ariel Tachna and Cowboys Don’t Come Out by Tara Lain. The guys also discuss, and highly recommend, the recent ABC mini-series When We Rise, which documents the gay liberation movement from 1971-2015.

Suzanne Brockmann, Ed Gaffney and Jason T. Gaffney are welcomed back to the show to continue their interview. This week they discuss their many family collaborations and what’s coming up next for each of them.

Jeff and Will announce that they’ve been selected, for a second year, to be part of the GayRomLit featured bloggers. The first GRL Blog Tour spot will appear in episode 91 on July 3.

The guys review Fixing Frank, book three in the California Comedy series, by Jason T. Gaffney and Ed Gaffney and presented under the Suzanne Brockmann Presents banner. Then they welcome Suzanne, Ed and Jason for part one of an interview where they talk about Suzanne’s history of writing m/m characters going back to the mid-2000s in her Troubleshooters series and the collaboration that lead to the California Comedy series.

Two upcoming events are discussed. First, the Equality March in Washington D.C., as well as other locations around the world, on Sunday, June 11. Lisa from The Novel Approach stops by with some summer book recommendations.

Kit Williamson and John Halbach, the guys behind the Eastsiders series stop by to talk about the Kickstarter they’re running to fund season three. They’ve got details on a way for listeners and supporters to win a great prize this week.

The Dirty Dancing remake and the season finale of Arrow are discussed.

The guys also interview the duo that make up the writing team of Ari McKay. They talk about their latest book, Breaking Bonds, which is part of the Dreamspun Desires line. In addition, we get their origin story, how they approach collaborating and what’s coming up later for them.
