Jeff Adams and Will Knauss are husbands and authors who created the podcast for avid readers and passionate fans of gay romance fiction. Each week they bring you exclusive author interviews, book recommendations and explore the latest in gay pop culture. To learn all about the hosts, listen/watch episode 1, which is their origin story.

Authors: Being On The Show
We are a curated podcast. We have to read and like a book before we’ll review it or have the author on the show. There are exceptions to this rule that we occasionally make as part of our curation. If you’d like to be considered for a guest spot or review, drop us an email at jeffandwill@biggayfictionpodcast.com  (We’ve discovered some great books/authors because an author sends a request so don’t hesitate to send the email).

What We Use to Make the Show
Microphone: Blue Yeti
Camera: Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

Skype on an iMac using the Logitech camera and Blue Yeti mic mentioned above.
Audio/Video Recording: Call Recorder for Skype from Ecamm Network
Interview scheduling: Acuity Scheduling (an amazing online tool to schedule appointments so you don’t have to go back and forth on timing).
Transcripts: Speechpad. Starting from episode 180 all of our author interviews receive a transcript. Starting May 2019, we’re working backward as well so that eventually all interviews will have a transcript so that the interviews can be enjoyed by those who wish to listen, watch or read.

On-the-road Audio & Video:
Camera: iPhone 8 using built in Photo app
Microphone: Shure MV5 It comes with both USB and Lightning cables so it can be used on a computer or an iPhone.

iMovie for the master edit.
Audacity to convert an AIFF file to MP3 for distribution.
Music Tag Editor for adding META data on the MP3

LibSyn: For file hosting, RSS management for all distribution, direct file download, statistics.

Podcasting Resources
At the 2017 Romantic Times Booklovers Convention, we presented a workshop entitled Podcasting 101: Tips for Being a Good Guest and Starting Your Own. The materials from that workshop are available to download.
