Besides cooler weather, one of my favorite things about fall is that Ronnie’s Ice slides back to 4am! Yes, many people think I’m insane to get up at 3am on Sautrday morning so I can be on the ice by 4. But it is one of my favorite things to do all week.

Yesterday morning was the first of the 4am’s for the season and it was as awesome I expected it to be. Since there are far fewer people at these sessions, it’s the chance to play in the scrimmage with players much better than me, like Roman, Joe, Tommy, Keith and some of the other players who are usually on the more advanced lines. I felt like I held up pretty well yesterday too, managing to shut Joe and Roman down a couple of times and making some decent passes up to the forwards on my team. And those forwards even passed back to me on defense a few times too.

I’m already looking forward to doing it all over again next week.

Next week the Ordinals also have a pre-season scrimmage lined up with the Wizards so both teams can get ready for the fall season. Yay!
