Varla Jean Merman – “Hello”

in Music

Imagine my joy at finding Varla Jean’s YouTube page! This is her interpretation of Lionel Ritchie’s “Hello” featuring an assist from Broadway’s Seth Rudetsky.

Womanizer

in Life in General

So the only time I seem to post on the blog is when there’s some funny video or trailer that I want to share. My name is Will and I post second-hand content. You know what, I’m okay with that. Besides, I’m not nearly as cool as this guy. His name is Michael and I think he’s [...]

So You Think You Can Dance: Amazing Top 6

in TV

This week’s So You Think You Can Dance was incredible. I could easily post the entire show because the dancing was that good. But, since six clips would take up a lot of space, I want to spotlight great dances by the two people who were eliminated this week. First up, twitch and Chelsie (she [...]

So You Think You Can Dance: Kherington & Twitch Do Contemporary

in TV

On the whole, this week’s So You Think You Can Dance was an unexpected clunker. I wasn’t thrilled by most of the performances. However, there was one stunning dance worth posting. We finally saw A Catered Affair this afternoon. It’s been on our list of shows to see since it opened in April and it advanced to the top of the list a couple weeks ago when it was announced that it would close at the end of July. The show never quite caught on at [...]

We saw three of the four waterfalls: Brooklyn Bridge, Pier 35 and the Brooklyn Piers (we couldn’t [...]

Blast From The Past

in Life in General

Brian posted a great piece from the Onion News Network… It took me back in time I worked for a video store for around three years while I was in college. It loved that job… and it was certainly a simpler time. I didn’t work for a Blockbuster… and was happily already out of the [...]

So You Think You Can Dance: Mark & Chelsea Hip Hop

in TV

I haven’t been a fan the hip hop routines on So You Think You Can Dance. It’s usually the choreography rather than the performance that fails for me. This week it all changed. Mark & Chelsea got a hip hop routine (which was later clarified as a lyrical hip hop routine) and it was amazing. [...]
