A good playoff season so far as the critical contest I was paying attention to went into six games. Last night Detroit pulled off a double overtime victory over Calgary. I’m glad it’s over now so Detroit is solidly in the second round.

Red Wings 4, Rangers 3
My first NHL game of 2007 just ended and what an outcome! My hometown Red Wings (okay, I was born in Flint, but Detroit wasn’t that far away) were in town for the first time in three years, so of course I was at the Garden last night for that matchup.
