Guess What I’ll be Watching This Saturday

“I just want to kill them all!” Awesomeness. Mega Piranha stars a matronly-looking Tiffany (yes, that Tiffany), Barry Williams (Here’s the story…) and B-movie himbo Paul Logan. Lets face it, it certainly can’t be any worse than spending $17 to see the junky CGI in Clash of the Titans.

28 Days of Dance: Day 28 – Madonna “Music Inferno” (2006)

Madonna always features great choreography in her videos and stage shows. Nothing drew me in though like the roller skating extravaganza that was the “Music Inferno” performance from 2006′s Confession’s Tour. It’s simply sublime and, I think, a great way to wrap up 28 days of great dancing! Enjoy. Tomorrow the count down to the [...]

28 Days of Dance: Day 27 – Davis & White Ice Dancing (2009)

For the last two days of 28 Days of Dance we’re lacing up the skates! Meryl Davis & Charlie White were fantastic at the Vancouver Olympics, winning the silver medal in the ice dancing competition. Among the three performances they gave was one to Indian folk music. Here’s a look at the extraordinary Bollywood performance [...]

Awesomeness

If I could travel back in time (using a Delorean, the Tardis or a Stargate, whichever is handy) I would totally go see this.

28 Days of Dance: Day 26 – “In The Heights” (2008)

When In The Heights premiered on Broadway on Valentine’s Day 2008 it brought a fresh, young vibe to Broadway. It also brought some hot choreography from Andy Blankenbuehler, who won a Tony Award for his efforts. Here’s a clip from “The Club” number that shows off his skills. You’ll note a similarity in theme here [...]

28 Days of Dance: Day 25 – “Cats” at the Tonys (1983)

This clip could get me in hot water because so many people things Cats is a joke. It was among the first musicals I saw in live and it stuck. I’ve always liked the “Jellical Songs for Jellical Cats” number and it’s got some pretty groovy cat dancing too. Here is the Original Broadway Cast [...]

28 Days of Dance: Day 24 – “West Side Story” at the Tonys (2009)

The revival of West Side Story knew better than to mess around with a classic. They recreated Jerome Robbins’ original choreography for the new production. Here’s the Broadway revival cast dancing up a storm from the 2009 Tony Awards.
