P90X Days 5 & 6

Day 5 was Legs and Back. There’s not much to tell here, the name pretty much says it all. My knee felt better than it did on plyo day, so the lunges and squats weren’t too difficult. I kept track of the pull-ups during this workout and my total was 71. Not a spectacular accomplishment, but certainly more than I figured I could do.

Kenpo X was on the schedule for Day 6 and it was a lot more fun than I remembered. It starts off with a longer than average warm-up that makes good use of lots of yoga-ish stretches which I frankly  needed after leg day. I hit like a girl, so my efforts during the punching segment must’ve looked pretty silly, but I really got into the kicks later on. I think my lower body is stronger than the last time I attempted the Kenpo workout, so I was able to keep up better and enjoy myself while sweating like a madman.
