I’ve had P90X for a few years now, but have never completed the full program. So I’m going to write about my journey in hopes that the accountability will help keep me focused and on track. Here are a few notes about my experience with P90x so far.
I’ve done the Day 1 work out, Chest and Back, several times before in the past. I’ve always preferred doing upper body work and this disc is almost entirely push-ups and pull-ups. I did 167 push-ups total. I didn’t keep track of how many pull-ups I did, though I’m guessing it was around 50. I’ll jot down the totals the next time I do this workout. I’d like to crack the 200+ range for both exercises by the time I’m finished with the program. How’s that for goal setting?
Day 2 is my nemesis, Plyometrics. Ugh. This thing kicks my ass every time I try it. My right knee was feeling a little wonky, so I modified most of the moves and followed along with Pam the blam, I still needed to press pause several times. I was a little discouraged, but I made it through to the end. My goal is to completely crush this workout without ever needing to use that damned pause button!!!
