For several days this week I rode by a location being used for Step Up 3-3D. Hairspray director (and So You Think You Can Dance judge) Adam Shankman is helming this movie after producing the first to installments. Several former SYTYCD dancers are in the film, including Twitch from last season.
The production was shooting inside The Haier Building, which sits between 6th Avenue and Broadway at 36th Street. I shot a few pictures. The first is a super geeky one of me and the production notice. In the other two photos, a mass of well-dressed extras queue up to go inside the building for a scene.
Tonight as I was leaving work, the crew was setting up for night shooting on 6th Avenue at 37th Street. I can’t wait to see the movie (having very much enjoyed the first two). Step Up 3-3D hits theaters Summer 2010.
