Hi Jeff,

Here's some footage of the "Tommy" benefit concert in Dec. Fast-forward about 2/3 of the way in. This is also a page for all of Alice Ripley's work. Enjoy!

Thanks for the Tony Awards footage - I hadn't seen that before.

I saw the original tour and this still remains one of my favorite shows ever. It's some of the best choreography I've ever seen and some of the most innovative staging. Like RAGTIME, it remains, in my mind, a crime that it didn't enjoy a much longer run.

I've played that "Tommy" pinball machine that was based on the Broadway show. When I lived in Eureka, CA, the machine was at the Lost Coast Brewery for months and I played it every time I was there. I love pinball anyway, so to play a machine that was based on a musical was a lot of fun. You can check out that machine here: http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/tommy/tommy_pinball.htm

I organise the UK Pinball Show and every time I get interviewed on radio or TV the feature is followed by *that* song! I guess we'll never be able to move away from it - and having said that - I love it still! There's a machine called 'Tommy' (based on the theme rather than featured in the movie) which plays lots of the music and commands quite a premium 2nd hand.
