National Coming Out Day 2008
Just yesterday the Connecticut Supreme Court overturned a state ban on same-sex marriage, making that state the third to legalize same-sex marriage. It’s one more step on the way to equal marriage rights for everyone. Way to go Connecticut!
Meanwhile, today is National Coming Out Day, a day that began in 1987 as a way to show the GLBT people are everywhere. Last year on the blog I told my coming out story. I hope many others tell their story today and going forward. It’s very important, especially in this presidential election year, that we are all heard and counted.
