Good Job, Macy’s!

Reading Towleroad during lunch, I came across this ad that Macy’s ran in the L.A. Times today.

It made me warm and fuzzy to see a huge retailer like Macy’s step up with this kind of ad (you can click on it to see a larger version that is a bit easier to read).

From what I’ve read, marriages in California can be performed starting June 14. In addition, news came today that New York’s governor is ordering the state to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states and give the appropriate state benefits to those couples. Sadly, he’s already getting a lot of opposition from the usual hateful people, so it’s not clear how well it will stick… but at least our governor is trying to do the right thing.
