DTWS Season 6: Week 3

in TV

I was in disagreement a lot with the judges tonight. And I was disappointed by my personal fave in this competition. But yet there was some great stuff going on tonight too. Here’s tonight’s rundown, in order of performance:

Marlee & Fabian: Another fantastic night for these two. Marlee did a good job keeping count in [...]

Wizards Out, Tigers Advance

in Hockey

The Wizards wrapped up their fall season last night with a huge loss to Hegemony (0-8). The higher the score got, the more the team seemed to fall apart. We had bursts where it seemed like we’d at least get on the board, but it just never happened. At least we got to playoffs though, [...]

Friday Geek Out: Seussical The Musical

in Geek Out, Theatre

With Horton Hears A Who on the big screen it seemed the perfect time to look at a live action Horton, along with other Dr. Seuss characters, that populated the 2000-01 musical Seussical the Musical. Among the show’s creators were Monty Python’s Eric Idle and along with Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, they created a [...]

Farewell to Jericho

in TV

Kudos to CBS for living up to its promises with Jericho, the post apocalyptic drama they canceled last year only to bring it back after a fan uprise.

Never Back Down

in Movies

It’s Teenage Fight Club… No, wait, it’s Karate Kid 23… No, it’s Never Back Down that wants to be a fusion of the two films with a cast that looks like it came out of a show on the CW (actually three of the principal stars do have CW/WB shows in their background, even if [...]

Easy Going Hockey Weekend

in Hockey

A very simple hockey weekend with the holiday. I went to a very over crowded Ronnie’s this morning (near 40 people on the ice for the drills). It was a good time though. Laurie and I stayed paired for the drills and that’s always a good time.

Brunchy Goodness

in New York

It’s always great to find a new place to eat and we made a great discovery today. I got turned on to Dell’Anima by hockey friend Jamie, who I saw last week for the first time in months. While we were catching up, he mentioned that he was a partner in a restaurant that opened [...]
