Winter Weather Advisory
NYC (and much of the tri-state) is under a winter weather advisory today. Snow (mixing with a little sleet and rain) is predicted for much of the day. It’s supposed to be mostly snow this morning and early afternoon with 2 to 5 inches of accumulation possible.
Now, what I’m hoping for is a decent snow [...]
Things on my mind…

It’s been a while since I’ve random blogged. I usually do it on Saturdays and the past couple weeks I haven’t been able to sit down and just get it down. So here are the things I’ve wanted to get on to the blog.
Rufus Does Judy: I’m very into Rufus Wainwright, as I’ve blogged before. [...]

Must See in May
I admit that when they announced they were finally filming the Sex and the City movie, I was sure that that particular pop culture boat had long set sail. But now that the new trailer is out, I admit that I’m all tingly at the prospects of Carrie’s big screen adventures. Below is the trailer, [...]

Macy’s Holiday Windows
I paid a visit to Macy’s during lunch today. Since it was only five blocks from the office, it seemed like a nice excursion. Since I had the camera with me, I decided to take some pictures of the holiday windows. Not the best pictures in the world since it’s hard to shoot through windows, [...]

Remember…
… in the olden days when TLC was actually educational? No one was watching (I sure wasn’t) and it made itself over into the redecorating channel (Trading Spaces et al.) and then revamped itself into the “edgy” but still family-friendly reality channel (Little People, Big World and the various Miami Ink spin-offs). Now it looks [...]

Meg Cabot - My new favorite Diva!
Category: Writing | tagged fiction, Meg Cabot, NaNoWriMo, pop culture
As some of you may (or may not) have noticed, I’ve been particularly quiet about the whole NaNoWriMo experience. The reason I haven’t mentioned it is that I totally bailed on it around day 10. People, I’m a realist, I know when there’s no way in hell I’m gonna finish something. I don’t feel bad [...]
