When Your Novel Comes to Life…
It’s been a while since I’ve written about it, but I am still working on Neutral Zone, my novel about two high school hockey players who fall in love and come out during their senior year. It’s still in second draft and coming along pretty well. I did get distracted from it while I did [...]

I Just Wanna Effin’ Dance!
Category: Music, Theatre | tagged A Chorus Line, dance, musical, pop culture, Xanadu
Yes, I know that I’ve become one of those bloggers that has no life and only posts third party clips (I’m okay with that) but here is a video that just has to be seen! It is a sure cure for the Winter/holiday blahs. If this doesn’t at least make you smile, then there’s no [...]

Friday Geek Out: A Charlie Brown Christmas
Was there any doubt what the Geek Out had to be this Friday before Christmas? It’s the perfect holiday special, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Truly a timeless classic, having premiered in 1965 and winning an Emmy and a Peabody Award that year. I watch it multiple times in the holiday season (and sometimes it gets [...]

I am always game for anything that shows New York getting destroyed (Armageddon and The Day After Tomorrow are both favorites in this category). I Am Legend goes one better than those movies. In this case the city is still standing, but everyone is [...]

Friday Geek Out: A Very Possible Christmas
I love a good Christmas special. It needs to be fun … it needs to have a great seasonal message to make you think about and it’s always good if it can get you worked up emotionally too. A Very Possible Christmas has all that. It debuted in 2003 as part of my favorite animated [...]

Winter Strom Disappointment
We were too near the mix/snow line today. It snowed for about 30 minutes total in the 11:00 hour. For a bit there it was looking like perfect skating weather. But nooooooo. By noon it was a sloppy rain/sleet/freezing rain mix that dashed all hope for any kind of Charlie Brown Christmas moment today.
