Hey Look, It’s Shrek

Right around 7:00 tonight I was walking down 23rd street towards Sky Rink for my Monday Bluestreak session and I happened upon a screening (maybe the New York premiere?) of Shrek the Third. And who was standing on the green carpet? Shrek himself Mike Meyers chatting it up with the press (no, this picture isn’t mine, I borrowed it from the AP’s coverage of the event). It’s been a while since I’ve had a star sighting, so it was fun to see such A-list talent before me… and at a fancy screening no less. I wonder if he’d seen me passing if we could’ve had a chat about hockey. I was carrying my stick after all, so who knows it might have caught his interest. Oh well, maybe next time.
